How Teeth Whitening Works
Teeth whitening is a safe and effective way to remove stains and lighten your teeth. The active ingredients in the whitening solution are usually hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide.

The Process
During your first appointment, we will take impressions of your teeth to create a custom whitening tray just for you.
At the next appointment, you will receive your tray, whitening gel and instructions on how to apply the gel.
You will then place the whitening gel in each tray and wear the trays in your mouth for 1-2 hours per day. Many patients wear their trays overnight.
The Results
Most bleaching systems require 10-14 days to see results, and a significant change in tooth colour is usually seen in just four to six weeks.
Occasionally, teeth may be stained in a way that limits the effectiveness of tooth whitening.
In those instances, veneers or dental crowns are an excellent alternative.
